Toshiba has rolled out two new gaming notebooks, dubbed the Satellite X205-SLI and Satellite U305. Both the laptops have been enhanced with Intel’s new Penryn 45nm processor and Core 2 Duo T8100.
The revamped Satellite X205-SLI features dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processing units (GPUs) along with SLI technology, a 17-inch widescreen, a 320GB hard disk drive and a built-in HDMI port at 1080i. It supports HD DVD drive 720p playback, allowing users to watch HD DVD movies on an external HDTV.
An upgraded lightweight Satellite U305-S2816 comes equipped with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard disk drive, a 13.3-inch widescreen TruBrite display an embedded web camera and connectivity features such as 802.11a/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 2.0.
The X205-SLI2 configuration starts at $2000 (approx. Rs. 80,000), while the X205-SLI4 configuration starts at $2500 (approx. Rs. 100,000). The price of the U305 notebook starts from $1350 (approx. Rs. 54,000).
