General Dynamic Itronix GoBook MR-1 Notebook to Launch in Europe this September

GoBook MR-1 was officially unveiled by General Dynamic, few months ago. Now, General Dynamic Itronix has announced the launch of its full-featured, rugged computer, dubbed the GoBook MR-1, in the European market.

General Dynamic GoBook MR-1 laptop The ultra-mobile features a Windows XP Pro operating system, DynaVue touchscreen display technology, 1.2GHz Intel Core Solo-U1400 Processor, up to 1 GB of RAM, 3D Intel Extreme Graphics with up to 128MB of graphics memory, 3- and 6-hour battery life options: 4000 mAH (29W) Lithium Polymer main battery or optional 8000 mAH (59W) Lithium Polymer extended battery pack, 40 GB or 80GB removable HDD, 16 GB or 32 GB solid state hard disk drive option, 5.6- wide SVGA outdoor viewable LCD display, Four wireless radios, WLAN, PAN, GPS and WWAN.

The company said that the smallest, lightest rugged notebook computer delivers the highest level of durability, IP-54 for dust and humidity, making it suitable for use in harsh and unpredictable environments, shock-mounted display, key internal components and a magnesium alloy clamshell case with impact absorbing bumpers.

The GoBook MR-1 will be compliant with Hazardous Locations (HazLoc) UL1604 Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C and D. It provides upgradeable wireless support to accommodate existing as well as future wireless technologies, flawless roaming for uninterrupted coverage, even in fringe areas and High-speed data transfer with worldwide 3G and EVDO cellular support.

Moreover, General Dynamic also offers fingerprint reader, TPM 1.2 and file/folder locking capabilities, a stealth-mode keyboard and display settings for secure environments. It also provides configurable access to all input/output devices for data transfer restriction and multiple asset protection features.

General Dynamic Itronix GoBook MR-1 Notebook will hit the shelves this month at the price of £2,618 (approx. Rs. 1,78,000) with three-year warranty.
