Every 6 Seconds an Asus Eee PC is Sold

Asus Eee PC Asus Technology has announced that they have sold 20 pieces of Asus Eee PC in just 200 minutes at the Taiwan’s shopping channel, ETTV Shopping. That comes to an average of six seconds per PC.

Yahoo, one of the sales channels, has also experienced an amazing sale of 50 Eee PCs in just 210 seconds. On an average every 4.2 seconds, one Asus Eee PC was bought. Tsann Kuen, Taiwanese 3C Company, also mentioned that 99 Asus Eee PCs were sold in thirty minutes.

This surely proves that masses are demanding simple and portable device with most comprehensive Internet applications, which is based on three Es: Easy to learn, work, play; Excellent Internet experience and Excellent on-the-Go.

Andrew Tsui, Managing Director, ASUS India said, “The ASUS Eee PC is a highly portable gadget, which is lightweight and rugged. It is aimed at fulfilling the computing needs of youngsters and people who prefer carrying lightweight PCs with optimum connectivity. Learning and enjoyment is equally convenient on the ASUS Eee PC. It has been made to be extremely user friendly. We are planning to launch this product in India soon.”

Just a glance over the features, it includes Windows XP compliant, over 40 built-in applications, 7-inch display and two modes of intuitive graphic user interface.

The PC Home Online also reported sales of more than 200 Eee PCs shortly after it was publicly available.

Looking at the growing demand of the Asus Eee PC, it is expected to launch in the Indian market too.
