JVC has introduced its new 1080p LCD HDTVs, expanding its LCD line. The latest devices are the 37-inch LT-37X688, the 42-inch LT-42X688, the 42-inch LT-42X788 and the 47-inch LT-47X788. The four HDTVs have integrated a collection of JVC technologies to offer sharp, natural images along with the most challenging program material.
The 688 series features a new black cabinet, whereas 788 series comes in black cabinet with silver trim and an ultra-thin bezel and delivers a high contrast radio, fast response time and wider viewing angle.
Here are some of the specifications of the four JVC HDTV models:
The sets offer two component inputs, three composite inputs, three AV inputs, an S-Video input, and optical digital audio out, and a fixed audio out. The universal remote control, which includes five direct video input buttons, can operate many brands of set top boxes, DVD players, digital video recorders, VCRs and audio products. The remote also features dual infrared transmitters allowing the set to receive the signal even if the remote is held vertically for a better view of the buttons or pointed at the TV.
Furthermore, the models come with a built-in ATSC tuner for receiving over-the air digital terrestrial broadcasts and a clear QAM tuner for receiving unscrambled digital cable signals. The four LCD HDTVs is packed with Genessa chip and JVC’s Smart Sound feature that maintains a constant volume level as content changes.
The chip is a 32-bit CPU processor, which combines all image processings, noise reduction and color management technologies together onto a single chip for better performance.
The JVC LT-37X688 will cost $1,599.95, while the JVC LT-42X688 will be priced at $1,999.95. Both will be available in June. Whereas, the JVC LT-42X788 and LT-47X788 will be released in July with an MSRP of $2,099.95 and $2,699.95, respectively.
