Philips Electronics has announced its Wall Theatre range, the MCD 288 and MCD 988 in the country.
The new theatre systems include multi-format playability file formats such as MP3, WMA, JPEG and DivX. The class ‘D’ digital amplifier takes an analogue signal, converts it into a digital signal and then finally amplifies the signal digitally.
Sound presets like Jazz, Rock, Pop and Classic enhance the music experience. Besides, through a range of volume settings, the Dynamic Bass Boost lets users emphasize the bass content of the music.
Also, the Progressive Scan feature doubles the vertical resolution of an image that results in sharper images.
Moreover, the MCD 988 features Philips Moving Surround Sound with Dolby Virtual Speakers.

The new Philips MCD 288 and the MCD 988 home entertainment systems are available in the Indian market at the price of Rs 14,990 and Rs 29,990 respectively.
