Samsung Mondi, WiMAX enabled handheld device introduced

Samsung Mondi Samsung announces the upcoming availability of its Samsung Mondi handheld device in the US. This WiMAX enabled device comes with a touchscreen and has been designed to be used with Clearwire’s Clear mobile WiMAX service.

This sleek, compact slider easily slips into your pockets and packs in several powerful features of a computer and laptop. With a solid black finish, it features GPS Navigation, horizontally slides out a full QWERTY keyboard and optical mouse. Its multimedia features offer instant access to E-mail, Internet, video content and business applications.

Powered by Opera 9.5, it packs in a full -featured web browser, 4.3-inch touch screen, instant access to social networking sites and also supports several services like Fring, Gypsii and MS Live Messenger. With widgets that can be dragged and dropped anywhere on the screen, the Mondi allows easy viewing and is quite flexible. The WiFi connectivity ensures simple and fast connections to Outlook Email / Calendars and Microsoft Office. You can also enjoy watching movies and play games.

Some of its features include Windows Mobile 6.1, 4GB of Internal Memory, Direct Push/Mobile Email (POP3, IMAP, SMTP), 3.0 Megapixel Camera and Camcorder, Bluetooth 2.0, HDMI TV Out and supports Instant Messaging, MMS and multiple video and audio player formats.
