Archos 605 GPS In-Car Holder Unleashed

Archos 605 GPS In-car Holder Archos’ 605 GPS Wi-Fi units have already been rolled out. Now, Archos has enhanced the version and released an all-new GPS In-Car Holder. The latest device boasts of being the improvised version of the previous models.

This system is equipped with a car holder that has the GPS chip inside. You can connect the car windshield and stereo system, making it a voice and video navigation system. You will also notice the clearest, sharpest screens, and watch favorite videos or recorded TV shows, also listen to music and view photo slideshows.

Users can also surf internet and check mails, intuitive address, zip-code and POI (point of interest) markers via the large 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen. Get help regarding Traffic assistance, route planning, and speed control assistance, clear voice-to-text support via the car’s FM stereo, or the Archos 605 WiFi’s amplified built-in speaker.

Consumers can also stream the latest news, online videos, TV shows and sports from websites. Archos devices are claimed to be the only ones to be compatible with Adobe Flash 9. They are allowed to utilize hundreds of Widgets, including world maps, weather and currency converters.

The Archos GPS In-Car Holder can be purchased separately for a suggested price of $129.99 (approx. Rs. 5,160), while it can also be bought with any Archos 605 WiFi model, or bundled together with the 30GB player for $399.99 (approx. Rs. 15,960). It is slated to be available in May 2008 from Archos’ official website and select retailers.
