Hitachi MMP401 and MMP501 GPS Systems announced in Australia

Hitachi has introduced two new GPS systems in Australia. The new MMP401 and MMP501 GPS systems incorporate wider screens than most conventional GPS systems.

The MMP401 has a 4-inch anti-glare screen, measuring (WxHxD)
115 x 75 x 28 mm and weighing 215g. Besides, it incorporates touch screen display and also features Fixed speed camera alerts, Speed zone warning and School zone alerts.

The other GPS system from Hitachi is MMP501. This device incorporates a wide screen of 5-inches and also boasts all the features that the MMP401has. Apart from that it also sports Bluetooth and AV IN connectivity. It also features 3D/2D day and night mode and Memory card slot (SD + MMC).

Hitachi’s new GPS systems will be available in the Australian market. The MMP501 will cost 949AUD (around 33,820 INR), while MMP401 will be priced at 609AUD (around 21,700 INR).

    I have 2 of the mmp501 GPS units destinator ie phonix industries have said i will need 2 cards to upgrade 2 units why can 1 card upgrade both units. As at 179.00 per unit this makes the good old melways seem a cheaper alternative at 29.995 can you advise of what i may be able to do.
