Astraware and Sandlot Games, the world’s premier developer and publisher of casual and family-friendly games, have collaborated to unveil a new mobile game, named Westward. Designed essentially for Palm OS, Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs, the game revolves around the life of a Frontier settler in the wild, rough and tumbling world of Westward.

Players have to guide townsfolk in making camp, collecting valuable resources, seeing-off dangerous bandits and building their communities. They will also come across four different locations as they take a step further in the game.

In Westward, about 20 levels are featured that have been set up by the hopeful citizen and seek their fortune in the Old Wild West. In addition, gamers are allowed to customize their own town and make it attractive with the help of over 25 types of buildings.

This would attract new citizens and you have to complete an array of side tasks as well as chase the Mad Russian to bring him to justice. To control the game, users need to use -way, key controls or stylus functions.

It supports Palm OS devices with high-resolution screens and for Windows Mobile touchscreen and non-touchscreen phones and PDAs that runs on Windows Mobile 2003, 2003SE, 5 and 6.
