Cheaper Xbox 360 to be Available in Japan Soon

Xbox 360 Console

Microsoft has announced its plan to release a cheaper version of the Xbox 360 in the Japanese market on 6th of March 2008. As we all know Microsoft has failed to mark its presence in Japan. We hope, this initiative would help them boost the sales’ figure of the Xbox 360.

As per the statistics that were published by Enterbrain, Wii reached sales of 3.6 million, followed by PS3 who experienced 1.2 million units’ sales, while the Xbox 360 managed to sell only 257,800 consoles in the Japanese market.

Microsoft has mentioned that the cheaper model of the Xbox 360 would carry a price tag which would be around a fifth lesser than what the Xbox 360 currently sells for in Japan currently, which is around JPY 27,800 (approx. Rs.10 ,400).

Now that’s really cheap.

Yesterday, we reported about the Satin Silver-colored PS3 that would be shipped on 6th March in Japan. Now that a competitive position for Xbox 360 again. Let us wait till 6th March to know more.
