THQ Wireless and Terraplay, a gaming service provider, has announced their partnership with T-Mobile to deliver four multi-player mobile games on the T-Mobile’s UK ‘Game Live’ service.
The games include Top Trumps: Star Wars, Top Trumps: MotoGP, and Top Trumps Football Legends, offering the first major convergence of classic battle card games on mobile. The new game offered is Worms that provides countless fun destroying their worm opponents with grenades, rocket launchers and other exciting weapons.
Adam Comiskey, THQ Wireless International VP said, “The Top Trumps series has consistently delivered classic competitive gameplay that has seen worldwide commercial success. Being able to bring the live entertainment of competitive elements to mobile games is the next step in consumer proposition for us.”
Sven HÃ¥lling, CEO of Terraplay commented “Worms Multiplayer is a game that we have wanted to get onto the Terraplay Global Gaming Network for a long time, and THQ has managed to achieve a very good connected experience in both Worms and the Top Trumps games”.
Neil Holroyd, T-Mobile UK Games Manager, explained “These are the first major online multiplayer games to on Games LIVE and offer T-Mobile customers addictively fun games and a gaming experience never before seen in the UK.”
The latest games are expected to cost £1 (approx. Rs. 80) that includes first 24 hours rental. After 24 hours, the user can choose to rent for 1 days at £1, 2 days at £2 (approx. Rs. 160) or a whole week for just £3 (approx. Rs. 240). Users can also visit the Terraplay powered games community site, Games LIVE, on T-Mobile to access the game.
