Samsung Galaxy Tab now flies to T-Mobile stores

The portable Galaxy Tab seems to have mesmerized multimedia buffs across the globe. T-Mobile is now bringing in Samsung’s popular tablet in the U.S. on November 10. Said to be the carrier’s first Android-powered tablet, the elegant device sports a 7-inch touchscreen for a complete mobile entertainment experience.

T-Mobile’s HSPA+ mobile broadband network touts to deliver blazing fast speeds which empower the 3G-enabled tablet to open Web pages and stream online video much faster. The Samsung Media Hub renders a variety of entertainment options and allows users to purchase or rent big titles, including NBC Universal, Paramount and Warner Brothers. This content can further be shared with up to five Media Hub devices.

“Customers want richer, deeper interactions with entertainment and online content through connected, portable mobile broadband devices that are small enough to carry and big enough to share with friends and family. T-Mobile’s unique offerings on the Galaxy Tab paired with the power of T-Mobile’s new network allow us to bring a truly differentiated portable entertainment offering to market,” shared Jeremy Korst, director of broadband products and services, T-Mobile USA.

The voguish Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with Qik Video Chat which not only works on Wi-Fi but can also be accessed from T-Mobile’s network. The front facing and rear-facing cameras can easily be used for video conferencing purposes. Moreover, Kindle for Android app and slacker radio are also bundled in the Android 2.2 device. Other major highlights include a WSVGA enhanced TFT display, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, support for up to 32GB of expandable microSD memory, and access to a host of widgets, games and applications on Android Market.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is anticipated to be available via T-Mobile beginning November 10 for $399.99 (approx Rs. 17,789) along with a two year agreement on a qualifying plan.
