Panasonic rolls out its latest high-resolution LCD HD production monitor, dubbed the BT-LH2550.
Offering a full 1920 x 1200-pixel of resolution, the 25-5-inch display incorporates In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel with 10-bit processing circuit, boasting to deliver an expanded color gamut that enhances the NTSC standard for vivid, true-to-life color images. It features six color space settings such as SMPTE, EBU, ITU-R BT.709, Adobe 2.2, Adobe 1.8 and D-Cinema that help to extend the range of on-screen colors while accessing high-end applications that include broadcast and print to digital graphics and post-production.
The lightweight and slim-frame HD production monitor is based on an image processing engine that has a three-dimensional look-up table (LUT) to calibrate the image processing for reproducing content as per the specific color standard selected.
The Panasonic BT-LH2550 includes features like high contrast and brightness, excellent motion response and wide 178° horizontal/vertical viewing angles, built-in waveform monitor and vectorscope functions for signal level monitoring, and pre-installed calibration software to adjust directly with color analyzers without using a PC.
Additionally, it also features a split-screen function that simultaneously displays two video sources side-by-side from two different video inputs and a Cine-gamma Film-Rec compensation function that ensure a compatible use with cameras such as the new AJ-HPX3700 and AJ-HPX2700 P2 HD VariCam camcorders and the AJ-HDC27 VariCam HD Cinema Camera.
Other than that, the BT-LH2550 also comes equipped with monitoring tools that comprise of split-screen/freeze frame (live input vs. freeze frame), Standard Markers and Blue-only, H/V delay display, monochrome and Cross Hatch overlay display.
Some of the added professional level inputs in the monitor inlcude DVI-D input, two auto-switching SDI (HD/SD) inputs (with switched output), component and RGB, as well as standard RS-232C (9-pin) and GPI (9-pin) remote inputs, headphone jack, green and red tally lamps on the front panel. The LCD monitor from Panasonic also integrates audio decoder, time code display, closed caption, audio level meter display of up to eight channels, five customizable function keys, and a cooling fan for noise-free performance.
Housed in an aluminum alloy back panel design, the VESA-mount compatible LH2550 bundles a desk stand, 24-volt AC Adapter, 3-pin AC cord and 4-pin XLR DC cord.
The Panasonic BT-LH2550 LCD HD production monitor is immediately available for an estimated price of $5,995 (approx. Rs. 2,92,690).
