Dell, a leading manufacturer of laptops and desktops, has launched its UltraSharp 3008WFP 30-inch widescreen flat panel monitor. The new display comes along with DisplayPort, the next standard of digital visual performance and connectivity.

Dell claims that the new display is targeted at professionals like content-creators, designers, photographers, video editors, and gaming and entertainment enthusiasts, who are in need of high-definition resolution quality.

The new UltraSharp 3008WFP features resolution of 2560 x 1600 and also offers TrueColor WQXGA. The monitor outlook is carefully designed with brushed aluminum housing, glass stand base. Moreover it also features cantilever arm and a unique cable management system. The stand features height adjustment attribute that enables comfort eye level for the users.

The connectivity is achieved with the help of the DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D with HDCP, VGA, S-Video, Component and Composite connectors

For higher image quality the display incorporates advanced video processor and TrueColor Technology with 100 percent color gamut. The UltraSharp 3008WFP rates dynamic contrast ratio of 3000:1 and 8ms response time.

The 9-in-2 media card reader and four high-speed USB 2.0 ports are some of the other features of the UltraSharp 3008WFP.

According to Steve Gluskoter, director of Dell’s displays marketing, “We’re excited to bring DisplayPort to customers and to the industry. The 3008WFP with DisplayPort technology will take the digital viewing experience to a whole new level.”

Dell’s 3008WFP 30-inch flat panel display was shown at CES 2008 and interested people can buy it for $1,999 (approx Rs. 78,530).
