Sony launches its latest Reader Digital Book, dubbed PRS-700.
Sporting a 6-inch touchscreen display, the device can flip through pages quickly and easily, search words while reading a document or a book, makes notes with the help of a virtual keyboard and highlight text by using a stylus pen. It boasts to store over 350 average digital books using expanded memory.
Supporting USB connectivity, it supports an array of file formats like EPUB and allows users to operate eBooks, personal documents and music. It comes with eBook Library 2.5 PC software to enable users to save Adobe PDF documents with reflow capability, Microsoft Word documents, BBeB files and other text file formats.
The PRS-700 also comes equipped with five pre-set text sizes with zooming functionalities for crisp text and graphics. Furthermore, it also incorporates a built-in LED reading light for high readability, even in bright sunlight.
Weighing around 10 ounces, the company claims that the new model utilizes nominal power and has the ability to sustain around 7,500 pages of continuous reading on a single battery charge.
In terms of designs and looks, the Sony PRS-700 reader flaunts its svelte and stylish, textured black casing and soft black cover.
The Sony PRS-700 reader carries a price tag of $400 (approx. Rs. 18,745).
