Toshiba has launched its new super-high resolution liquid crystal display device. It has the ability to deliver a QUXGA-W resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels.
Featuring a 22.2-inch TFT color LCD screen, it offers 200 dpi (a pixel pitch of 0.1245mm), a brightness of 235cd/m2, 300:1 contrast ratio as well as 120 degree vertical and 100 degree horizontal viewing angles.
Moreover, it comes with a DVI-D (24-pin) 2channel interface and supports Windows XO operating system. A dedicated graphics card is also sold separately.
There are no eye-catching and special specifications. However, the monitor doesn’t seem to target the gamers. Apparently, it can specifically be used for industrial purposes.
The Toshiba LCD monitor with QUXGA-W resolution retails at around $17,000 (approx. Rs. 6,80,000) in Japan. Perhaps the price is too high as compared to the features that the device incorporates.
