How about owning some photographic equipment embedding numerous high-end features tagged along with an attractive price point? Sounds like a perfect treat for photography admirers, doesn’t it? Well, to provide users with an ideal amalgamation of style and performance while thinking about their pocket, Canon has come up with the latest EOS Rebel T3i and T3 digital SLR cameras.

Crammed with an interesting plate of useful features, the new models tout to provide a new meaning to users’ photography journey. The attractively designed Rebel T3i puts across fun and easy-to-use features for amateurs photographers, while its companion Rebel T3 gets a wisely inscribed price tag stitched to the enclosure.

The stylish T3i comes equipped with Canon’s new Feature Guide instruction which renders guidelines pertaining to its functions and recommendations for various settings. The Scene Intelligent Auto mode designed to offer complete scene analysis and optimized settings enhances the experience for point-and-shoot users at the same time. Interestingly, this particular version walks on a different route by accommodating Canon’s 3-inch (18 megapixel resolution) Vari-Angle Clear View LCD screen, perfect for properly composing those difficult overhead shots.

“Everyone today is a photographer, and for those looking to capture stunning images and do more with photography, Canon has introduced the EOS Rebel T3i and T3, offering the right balance of high-end features and easy-to-use guidance at a great price. So regardless of experience level or budget, there is a Canon Rebel camera suited to a user’s needs and lifestyle,” shared Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies and Communications Group, Canon U.S.A.

Apart from this, the T3i includes new Video Snapshot technology in its lightweight yet exquisite body. The Rebel T3, on the other hand, features high-definition movie capture, 12 megapixel resolution and Canon’s new informative Feature Guide. Both these units have been designed to be compatible with the company’s complete line of over 60 Canon EF and EF-S lenses.

Consumers’ creativity level gets honed by automatic shooting modes such as portrait, landscape, close-up, action and night scene. Users can now conveniently access a quick menu screen to make adjustments as per the scene’s ambiance. Along with this, an easy-to-read menu enables one to select an ambience setting from vivid, soft, warm, intense cool, brighter, darker to monochrome, while a Lighting setting lets users sift out from daylight, shade, cloudy, tungsten light, fluorescent light or sunset.

Coming back to the T3i camera, the ability to record high-definition videos at 1920 x 1080 resolution in selectable frame rates of 24p, 25p or 30p, DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor, large APS-C-sized CMOS sensor, and Movie Digital Zoom are also included. The specification list for Canon’s T3 further comprises 9-point auto-focus system, 63-dual-layer metering system, video capture at 1280 x 720 resolution, and an ISO range from 100-6400 for freezing beautiful images.

The new Canon T3i is scheduled to be delivered to U.S. dealers in the beginning of March and will be sold in a body-only configuration at a price of $799.99 (approx Rs. 36,468). It will also be made available in a kit version with Canon’s EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens for $899.99 (approx Rs. 41,026). The second kit version with Canon’s EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens will make users shell out $1099 (approx Rs. 50,098).
