Nikon brings out Coolpix S8000 and S6000 digital cameras

After the P100, L110, S4000 and S3000, Nikon has brought camera lovers two more flashy digital cameras – the S8000 and S6000. These boast of ISO sensitivity as high as 3200, lens-shift VR, motion detection, enhanced flash control, subject tracking, HD movie recording, Smart Portrait mode and Scene auto selector mode.

The 14.2MP S8000 integrates a 10 x zoom Nikkor lens that delivers 30mm to 300mm focal lengths. It displays a 3” 921k-dot wide-viewing angle TFT LCD with anti-reflection coating and has 32MB of internal memory. This SD card compatible device is powered by rechargeable Li-ion EN-EL12 batteries and measures 103mm x 57mm x 27.3mm.

Nikon’s 14.2MP S6000 possesses 7 x zoom Nikkor lens that cover focal ranges of 28mm to 196mm. It sports a 2.7” 230k-dot wide-viewing angle TFT LCD with anti-reflection coating and has 32MB of internal memory capacity. The camera accommodates SD card and offers 32MB of storage. It comes powered by Li-ion EN-EL12 batteries and displays dimensions of 97mm x 55.5mm x 25mm.

The Coolpix cameras are offered in shades of black, red, champagne silver and brown. They are bundled in with the rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL12, charging AC adapter, software suite CD-ROM, A/V cable and strap.
