Red has finally revealed the specifications of its Digital Stills and Motion Cameras. According to Engadget, the first camera that will be released is the Epic-X. Along with the Epic-X, the company has also released the 2/3-inch Scarlet camera.

The Epic-X features a resolution of 1080p and a video shooting speed of 1-60fps. It also incorporates an increased dynamic range. The camera boasts of its latest Mysterium-X 5K sensor. The Epic-X can be controlled with the help of the controls provided by the touch-sensitive LCD screen. It can alternatively be controlled via the wireless RedMote control. Apart from this, the Epic-X also incorporates a host of other exciting features.

The Scarlet incorporates features like the all new FLUT Color, Gamma and Sensitivity Science that are similar to the Epic. The other features of the device include increased RedCode data rates, Touch Focus Tracking, two independent microphone level channels, balanced input circuits, 48V Phantom Power and Gigabit Ethernet ports.

The Red Epic-X camera is expected to retail for around $28,000 (approx. Rs. 13,14,883). The pricing details for the Scarlet are still under wraps. There is no official word on the launch date of these cameras.
