Ricoh launches CX1 Digital Camera that boasts of CMOS-Sensor Zoom

Ricoh CX1 Digital Camera With an aim to offer a daily utilizable product to cherish memorable moments, Ricoh has announced its plan to release the latest compact digital camera, named the CX1.

Based on the Smooth Imaging Engine IV and CMOS-Sensor zoom, the compact yet powerful shooter features a 9.0 megapixel of resolution, a 4.8x digital zoom and a 28-200mm equivalent zoom range lens. It ensures speedy image processing.

Moreover, it is compatible with a dynamic range of 12 EV in company with high-sensitivity shooting, sharp resolution, noise reduction and high-quality color reproduction. It has the ability to record videos at 120 frames per second with a resolution of 640×480 pixels.

The CX1 camera boasts the usage of red and blue data to accurately gauge a green value when the green channel is over-exposed.

In addition to the highly advanced image processing engine, the stylish camera sports a 3-inch TFT LCD screen that is capable to deliver around 920,000 dots of resolution.

The Ricoh CX1 also features a Dynamic Range Double Shot Mode to capture two still images with different exposures. It also comes included with a multiple exposure mode that conveniently creates in-camera HD images.

The compact camera bundles Multi-Pattern Auto White Balance to adjust white balance based on the light sources of separated areas of the image. It also packs in Multi-Target AF to reproduce consecutive images at seven focal distances automatically defined by the camera.

Other than that, it also takes full advantage of an integrated M continuous plus shooting function that shoots continuously before a user can remove their finger from the shutter release button.

It has an internal memory of 88 MB with a support for SD and SDHC cards. It is even compatible with hi-speed USB connectivity and AV out.

Ricoh will roll out the CX1 digital camera on March 31, 2009 for a suggested price of £299.inc VAT (approx. Rs. 14,890).
