Transcend’s latest offering comes in capacities of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. The 16GB card has the ability to hold around 6552 photos in 5MP JPEG compression format, more than 88 hours of MPEG-4 video footage recorded at 483KB/s or 3 hours of HD video in AVCHD at 9MB/s.
The cards meet SD 3.0 specifications and render read and write speeds of 16MB/s and 20MB/s, correspondingly. They are claimed to be ideal for dealing with high-speed consecutive shooting as also smooth HD recording. It processes data speedily to avoid lag while recording 1920 x 1080p full HD videos at 60fps.
Transcend’s 4GB, 8GB and 16GB Ultimate Class 10 SDHC cards are tagged at $17.70 (approx. Rs.830), $33.30 (approx. Rs.1,560) and $68.90 (approx. Rs.3,227), respectively.
