BenQ E800 Digital Camera boasts Smile Catch Mode

An 8-megapixel camera has been introduced by BenQ. Called E800, the digital camera is equipped with a plethora of special features that includes Smile Catch mode to seamlessly capture every elusive simple automatically by pressing shutter button and Auto Face Tracking that fine-tunes up to eight faces in one frame.

Now, it’s very easy for parents to click pictures of their children – every time they smile, giggle or sport a beautiful expression. The E800 sports a 2.7-inch display, 3x optical zoom and ISO 1600 to take pictures in dim lighting without having to use an artificial flash, and 13 optimized settings to customize distinct scenarios.

Moreover, it also features a Shake-Free mode that delivers blur-free pictures, standard auto and video and other exciting mode settings such as Museum, Party, Beach and Fireworks. The included Movie Optical Zoom feature allows consumers to record by focusing close to capture the scenery better.

It supports dual size formats, namely 3:2 resolution that does away with the need of cropping images while printing; and 16:9 resolution ensures an ideal viewing on the 16:9 widescreen TVs.

With a power cord users can charge the E800, leaving behind all the worries of unloading the battery. The other option is to directly connect the camera to the computer through a USB cable.

Pricing and availability place are not known. However, the BenQ E800 digital camera is slated to hit the shelves in May 2008.
