Pentax has released the Optio V20 digital camera in the US market. The latest 8.0 MP camera features a 5X zoom lens and a 3.0 inch LCD display.
The V20 camera is an ultra slim model and features the Face Recognition function that automatically detects and focuses on faces. Also, the camera is equipped with Smile Capture feature that detects the key facial expression of happy people and releases the shutter automatically.
Moreover, the Blink Detection feature lets the user know if the subject has closed his/her eyes in the image. So that users can recapture the image if necessary. In addition, Auto-tracking AF for continuously focusing on a moving subject is also included in the camera.
The Auto-Macro mode and 52MB internal memory are few other key features of the Pentax Optio V20 camera.
The camera is expected to ship in May 2008 in the US at the price of $279.95.
