Shuttle XPC H7 4500H media centre PC unveiled

Shuttle XPC H7 4500H Shuttle takes the wraps off its latest mini-PC system dubbed XPC H7 4500H.

The H7 4500H can playback DVDs, CDs, MP3 files, TV recordings and digital pictures while you can also opt for a Blu-ray drive. Measuring about 32.6 x 20.8 x 19 cm (LWH), it offers HDMI, SPDIF, eSATA, FireWire and 6x USB. This media centre PC comes integrated with satellite television in Windows Vista. Thus, the set of Windows Media Center that was previously used for DVB-T tuners and analogue cable TV can now also be used with a DVB-S TV tuner card.

“Microsoft has moved the development of Windows Media Center forward and released the new Windows Media Center TV Pack for Windows Vista,” explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “Based on the XPC Barebone SG45H7, a complete solution to meet highest requirements towards functionality, image quality and multimedia formats have been created.”

It’s an optimum home solution with technical highlights and amazing functions bundled in a small form factor. It claims to offers best image and sound quality and is apt for digital photos, videos, internet and email, Office.

Powered by Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual-Core processors, it features up to 4GB of RAM, up to 1TB of hard drive storage and lets you choose from integrated to PCIe graphics cards. Sporting a black, aluminum chassis, it also comes with Intel G45 Express (MCH) + ICH10 (I/O Controller Hub) Chipset and solid capacitors.

The XPC H7 4500H is now available from Shuttle and its base version is available at a starting price of about $910.
