HP unveils TouchSmart 300, 600 and 9100 all-in-one PCs

After the successful launch of the HP Envy 15 Beats, the company has now turned its attention to the TouchSmart lineup of all-in-one PCs. HP has introduced three new TouchSmart all-in-one PCs called the HP TouchSmart 600, the HP TouchSmart 300 and the HP TouchSmart 9100.

The TouchSmart 300 incorporates a 20-inch display while the TouchSmart 600 features a 23-inch screen. Both these displays are capable of recognizing multiple gestures like pinch, rotate, arc, flip, press and drag. The 16:9 aspect ratio of the screens claim to deliver a never before touch experience. Both the PCs offer support for Windows 7 operating system. The HP 300 and the HP 600 flaunt a new swivel stand and a built-in wall mount support. It also bundles up a tiltable webcam for group conference and video chats.

“Since the launch of the first TouchSmart PC nearly three years ago, we’ve worked closely with a growing number of software companies and independent vendors to develop built-for-touch applications that give consumers and businesses rich interactive multimedia experiences,” said James Mouton, senior vice president and general manager, Desktop Global Business Unit, Personal Systems Group, HP. “These collaborations have helped to make HP touch computing the most advanced touch experience in the market today.”

The HP TouchSmart 9100 has been specifically designed for Business class users. It claims to provide real-time information and video conferencing capabilities. The device features a 23-inch touchscreen display. The 9100 is compatible with Windows 7 operating system and is powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor. The company also throws in an optional Blu-ray player. HP also offers users the option to customize the TouchSmart 9100 to suit their needs.

The HP TouchSmart 300 will be made available from November 1 at a price of $899 (approx. Rs. 41,757). The HP TouchSmart 600 will retail for around $1,049 (approx. Rs. 48,725) while the HP TouchSmart 9100 is price tagged at $1,299 (approx. Rs. 60,360). The 600 will be offered from October 22 and the 9100 will be made available this December.
