Asus EeeBox EB1501 now comes with Windows 7

Asus recently let out its Sabertooth 55i TUF edition motherboard. And now the company is all geared up to release the redesigned Asus EeeBox EB1501 nettop, informs Engadget. This redesigned model is said to bundle up the latest Windows 7 operating system. The other features of the nettop are claimed to be equally powerful and unique.

The EeeBox EB1501 nettop is said to be powered by Intel’s Atom 333 dual core processor. The graphics are provided by Nvidia’s Ion chipset. The EB1501 is said to be one of the first nettops to come preloaded with Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. This fact indicates that the nettop will not be made available till the end of this month.

The EB1501 will incorporate the standard 2GB RAM that can be expanded up to 4GB and 250GB hard drive. The device also throws in a DVD burner and a HDMI port.

There is no official word on the pricing and availability of the Asus EeeBox EB1501 nettop as yet. But this nettop is speculated to be made available for a starting price of €399 (approx. Rs. 27,765) when it enters the European market.
