Samsung has unveiled its latest 3.5-inch external hard drive, dubbed the Samsung Story Station, boasting a whopping storage space of new 1.5TB. It promises to offer a secure and eco-friendly desktop PC storage, externally.
Supporting a USB 2.0 interface, the ultimate data backup solution comes with enhanced security software with three important safety features that include Samsung Auto Backup, SecretZone and SafetyKey.
Users can take the back up of the data in real time or through a pre-arranged schedule in the Samsung Auto Backup setting. They can even make the data password protected with Samsung’s SafetyKey. Finally, they can also protect confidential files and folders via the Samsung SecretZone that creates a virtual drive for encryption.
Compliant with RoHS standards, the Samsung Story Station is developed with environmentally-friendly materials and supports green operation with a power-saving mode. With this, the storage device automatically switches to standby within five minutes of idleness.
Touted to employ heat dissipating design, it is unblemished in passionate red lines with a high-tech “brushed†aluminum surface and red cable ports. It shows off the ventilation and the aluminum cover that avoids excess heat and maintains the drive’s coolness.
Backed by three years’ warranty, the Samsung Story Station is available in 500GB, 1TB and 1.5TB configurations. However, the price and precise availability details are yet to surface.
