WaterField Designs Cases

Consumers can now have the benefit of a functional and stylish way to protect their Kindle DX for longevity. Three new protective cases, namely the Slip Case, the SleeveCase and the Travel Case, from WaterField Designs have rolled out in the market exclusively for the Amazon Kindle DX.

The custom-fit and stylish cases that deliver slim look promise to offer protection and varied functionalities.

Starting with the Slip Case for Kindle DX, it ensures a proper shelter to the DX with a negligible bulkiness. Featuring a water-resistant material on its exterior, the case has a lightly padded, scratch-free liner along with an impact-resistant plastic and a bottom-of-the-case loop. For a safe yet swift access to the digital book reader, the Slip Case comes with an open top. It shines in black, blue, brown, green, red and silver color shades.

Next is the SleeveCase for Kindle DX, which boasts off a more rugged protection over the above mentioned Slip Case. It features a high-grade neoprene, a sturdy ballistic nylon shell and a lightly padded flap closure. It offers an impact resistant, screen-protecting insert in a small form factor for the Kindle DX to rest easily. Besides, the large size assures a convenient fit of the e-book reader within a read-through case. WaterField Designs also provides an exterior, open-top pocket on each side that stores a USB cable or ear buds. The large sized case also allows users to opt for a horizontal (for briefcases) or vertical (for backpacks) orientation. Plus, the company also enables users to either slide the SleeveCase into a bag or carry it over a shoulder with the available simple- or mini-suspension strap.

Last but not the least, the thin and compact Travel Case for Kindle DX also gets introduced. Users will be able to carry and protect the device and the other available accessories. Akin to SleeveCase, it can not only be carried in a bag but can also be attached to the two available removable-shoulder straps. In the case, there are padded, internal compartments that help individuals to pack in the Kindle DX. Users can even stow the power adapter, the clip light and other accessories tangle-free within a simple case while traveling. This water-resistant case employs self-locking zippers on a front pocket in addition to the main compartment. It is available in six different vibrant colors such as black, blue, brown, green, red and silver.

Currently available for pre-orders at the sfbags website, all the three cases are expected to ship within two weeks after Amazon ships the Kindle DX e-book reader. The Slip Case carries a price tag of $33 (approx. Rs. 1,564), the Travel Case costs $57 (approx. Rs. 2,702) and the small SleeveCase with screen-protecting insert is priced at $49 (approx. Rs. 2,323), while the large, black-colored one can be purchased for $49 (approx. Rs. 2,323). The simple strap and mini-suspension strap retail for $5 (approx. Rs. 237) and $13 (approx. Rs. 616), respectively.
