Proxim has launched a high speed adapter dubbed ORiNOCO 802.11a/b/g/n. This device is capable of transferring data at top speed when used with Proxim’s AP-800 and AP-8000 access points.
The key feature of this adapter is its 150Mbps speed. It is capable of streaming three videos at a time. The USB Client adapter supports SNMPv1, SNMPv2 and SNMPv3.
The company offers a ProximVision ES network management system with the device that provides users a faster network deployment and mobile configuration. The adapter also supports Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista operating systems.
The ORiNOCO 802.11a/b/g/n performs better with the ORiNOCO AP_800/8000. The device also supports Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) in 5GHz bands. This feature eliminates chances of interoperability and obstruction.
The ORiNOCO 802.11a/b/g/n USB Client Adapter is available for $75 (approx Rs.3, 579) along with configuration software, base stand and USB cable.
