NEC India unveils servers with Intel Xeon 5500 series

NEC India has announced the launch of its Express5800/SIGMABLADE and Express5800 Tower and Rack servers which are based on the new Intel Xeon processor 5500 series. The new series of servers come with high-quality performance and competent energy of the Intel Xeon processor coupled with new innovative offerings from NEC that ensures boost in performance, higher bandwidth and energy efficiency.

This Blade, Rack and Tower servers provide improved throughput performance owing to the integrated Intel Quick-Path Interconnect (QPI) technology. Moreover, they are equipped with DDR3-1066 memory that ensures greater performance through increased memory capacity and efficient memory access. In addition to this, PCI Express 2.0 offers double bandwidth capacity. These servers bundle up with support for 80Plus, thereby assuring certified efficient energy power supply along with RAS features.

The availability and pricing details of Nec Express5800/SIGMABLADE and NEC Express5800 Tower and Rack servers is not yet disclosed.
