Rumor had recently knocked the mobile phone terrain regarding the new version of LG Viewty. And the surprise that lies is that, the news is now all over the web with an official announcement by the company.
LG Electronics lifts the curtains off the second incarnation of Viewty, called the Viewty Smart. Also known as the LG-GC900, it carries on the heritage of the first LG Viewty with some of the similar specifications as well as a few adds-on.
The svelt camera-like designed phone features an 8 megapixel sensor with sensitivity up to ISO 1600 and a more intelligent image processor. Additionally, it incorporates an Intelligent Shot Mode that automatically analyzes a scene and adjusts camera settings accordingly, resulting in an easy picture-taking procedure.
Other camera functions include Touch Shot, Art Shot, Beauty Shot, Panorama Shot and Continuous Shot along with Multi-Face Detection and DVD-quality D1 video recording.

Based on LG’s easy-to-use 3D S-Class User Interface, this elegant touchscreen handset offers an on-screen dial that allows users to instantly switch between shot modes, and a thumbnail viewer for displaying recently captured images without a need to switch to the photo gallery. Moreover, it also offers a simpler zooming process for an enhanced viewing experience.
At just 12.4 mm deep, the pocketable Viewty Smart sports a wide, sharp 3-inch WVGA touchscreen display that is capable of delivering a full 800 x 480 resolution, a 7.2 Mbps HSDPA network and Wi-Fi compatibility, A-GPS with geotagging and 1.5 GB of internal memory that can be expanded to about 32 GB via microSD cards.
Looking at the features, it seems to be a camera phone that is equal to the quality of a standalone digital camera.
Although there is no clarity on the price, LG Viewty Smart camera phone is slated to reach the European market in May, followed by other markets across the globe.
