Nokia unveils its new E75 and E55 phones with new email user interface. These ESeries handsets also feature the standard Nokia Messaging which on adding to the company’s corporate email clients lets you access world’s consumer and corporate email while on the go. We all know the importance of email these days, be it office or work.

“Efficiency is about doing more with less and focusing on what’s truly essential,” says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President at Nokia. “With direct access to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes, companies can potentially save up to a third of their operating costs as there’s no need for middleware or additional servers.”

The new Eseries phones come with an enhanced email UI including folder and HTML email support, expandable views, sorting by date, sender and size, access the commonly used email functions with a single click.

“With the Nokia E75 we took a lot of inspiration from the Nokia 9300, which was our first mini communicator,” adds Oistamo. “Owners of the Nokia 9300 loved the messaging functionality a full keyboard provided, but also used the traditional phone keypad a great deal. With the Nokia E75 we kept these essential ingredients, significantly upgraded all of the features and made it as compact as possible.”

The compact QWERTY keyboard along with click access makes reading, managing and responding to email quite quick and efficient. The Nokia E55 battery life offers up to 28 days of standby time.

“With the Nokia E55 we have made messaging as efficient and pocketable as possible,” continues Oistamo. “In our usage tests, the Nokia E55’s compact QWERTY keyboard has been proven to be fast to learn and quicker to use than standard phone keypads.”

The Nokia E75 and E55 phones also bundle up full Nokia Maps, GPS with integrated 3-month license for turn-by-turn navigation and an N-Gage on board. The Nokia E75 includes Ovi Files and all your precious files can be remotely managed as well as shared even while your PC is off.

The Nokia E75 is said to ship in March at a retail price of 375 EUR (approx Rs. 23,342) while the Nokia E55 is said to ship during Q2 at a retail price of 265 EUR (approx Rs. 16,495).
