Nokia E71x – The Thinnest QWERTY Smartphone enters AT&T Portfolio

Nokia E71x Smartphone and AT&T Logo Nokia has announced AT&T as the network provider for the thinnest QWERTY smartphone, called Nokia E71x, in the US.

Unblemished in a sleek and stylish design, the black steel colored Nokia E71x claims to offer the ultimate messaging experience with the inherent 2.4-inch high-resolution screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. For enhanced messaging capability, the device comes supported with Mail for Exchange, Xpress Mail and various Internet service providers that include Gmail, Yahoo! mail and Hotmail.

“The E71x is a lean, mean multimedia machine for busy people who want Internet-on-the-go capabilities in the palm of their hands. Together with our carrier and industry partners in North America, Nokia continues to enhance the consumer mobile experience through a growing range of QWERTY music, messaging and feature rich devices,” said Mark Louison, President, Nokia Inc.

Moreover, the Nokia E71x smartphone works on a high-speed 3G connectivity and Symbian S60 3.2 platform. It comes equipped with Quickoffice, AT&T Navigator and other AT&T services as well, allowing users to enjoy business-specific and entertainment features while on the go.

Other known specifications include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with EDR + Stereo A2DP, an integrated aGPS with voice-guided and turn-by-turn directions, a built-in music player and a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera. All the multimedia content can be saved on the available 120MB memory or on an optional microSD card of up to 8 GB. Users can even personalize their mobile experience with the compatible third-party application downloads, themes and profile settings.
