Alltel Wireless has released LG’s latest mobile phone called Scoop. An ideal device for messaging quickly and easily, it also matches the social networking needs. It comes with a messaging-friendly QWERTY keyboard and pre-loaded AOL Instant Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger.
The Scoop also sports built-in e-mail, a 1.3MP camera with video, a music player, expandable memory up to 4GB via microSD memory and Bluetooth wireless technology. It is also equipped with Celltop, a patent-pending technology, for easy access, management and organization of an array of information that is already available on their phones.
“The text-friendly LG Scoop is an affordable, stylish and incredibly easy-to-use phone. As texting and multimedia application usage continues to soar in popularity, we are working to meet consumer demand with innovative products every step of the way,†said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy & marketing for LG Mobile Phones.
It comes in three different vibrant colors such as citrus orange, slate gray and turquoise blue.
LG’s Scoop handset is currently available at Alltel retail and online stores for $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2400) after a $40 mail-in-rebate. The wireless company offers the mobile phone at a discounted price to new customers, who agree to a two-year service agreement, along with existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans.
