Taking forward the dual sim technology, Meridian Mobile introduces four new mobile phones that offer dual sim for its flagship brand Fly. The new mobile phones are Fly V80, V80i, B700 and B720.
Taking in account various techniques used by dual mode phones for transmitting and receiving voice and data, this new line up by Fly uses a combination of GSM and CDMA technology. Let’s look at them one by one.
The Fly V80 is a dual sim handset that offers both CDMA+GSM connectivity. Offering GSM – Dual Band (900/1800) and CDMA – 800 MHz, this phone measures 106 x 44.7 x 13.6 mm. The V80 features a 1.85-inch 65K TFT color display, 800 Phonebook, 200 sms storage capacity, dual standby mode. It carries a price tag of Rs 4,490. Fly has an enhanced version of V80 called V80i. The V80i is packed with similar features and has some additional features like FM radio and speaker phone.
In case you use two GSM cards then Fly offers new dual sim GSM+GSM handset called B700. The B700 measures 109.8 x 49.5 x 15.3 mm and features 2-inch TFT color display, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPRS, video recording, playback and external memory slot. This phone is priced at Rs 7,200.
The next one being B720 Duo, this phone offers CDMA+GSM with EDGE. It features a 2.4-inch TFT color screen, 5MB internal memory, 2-megapixel camera and MP3 player. Providing GPRS, Bluetooth connectivity, it also offers video recording, capable of storage up to 1000 phonebook and SMS. It measures 118 x 53 x 15.3 mm and handset will be priced at Rs 8,900.

my duo b720 cannot access micro sd card, aalthough similar card can be accessed in any other mobile , therefore need suggestion to come up from this prob.
dont buy the stupid duo b720
dont waste even a single penny this phone has no battery back up
poor camera, usb charging is a hell lot slow(forget about chargin phone by usb) cant create folders, stupid phone book search option, cant play or display video and images of big size, cant modify the menu option like in all nokia smart phone.

dont buy flyv80(cdma & gsm), very very poor signal reception, takes more than 2 hrs for charging, useless phonebook search option, supports only very small sms. THIS PHONE IS STUPID AND USELESS

I would like to mention this to everybody planning to buy Fly V80 Plssssssssss dont but as it is the most irritating handsets available.
The phone gets so hot while talking on CDMA no.
I have B720 handset which i purchased nearly two months back and over all I can say it is a good handset. The battery backup is indeed of short span but otherwise it has function most of the other phones doesn’t have. One can put a password for entering phonebook, sms and the memory card which I have not seen in any of the phone before. Display is quite impressive and the voice clearity is very much better in comparison to dual sim phones from spice. The different buttons on the front panel for choosing GSM or CDMA call is quite a comfort when compare to spice mobiles. Anyone looking forward to buy a dual sim phone can go for this model without thinking twice. I do not regret at all. I bought it for Rs. 8300 but now I think theprice would have come down definitely.

I am looking for a assistance, who can guide me. I have purchase a new FLY handset of model B720. Beofre, I was using LG handset with GSM. Now I have purhcased a new SIM, with the same number. As I am into the business and have lot of contacts, it is uploaded into the reliance “r-world” website, so that I can easily download the contacts into my new handset.
But I am not able to download the contacts as I dont have “r-world” facility in my new handset.
Please guide me on this.
