Here’s one more laptop arriving in from Asus! The company seems to be in full swing to reach at its targeted audiences with a range of laptops. The latest offering is the Asus K40IN-A1 that expands the company’s K Series of laptops that was seen at CeBIT in March. According to Engadget, it is expected to release in the U.S. markets.

Featuring a 14-inch screen, it apparently offers a LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9.

At its heart there would be Intel’s Core 2 Duo T6400 CPU that runs at 2GHz. Plus, the laptop is speculated to pack in the GeForce G102M 512MB dedicated video card (Nvidia’s lowest power GPU with dedicated frame buffer), Windows Vista Home Premium OS, 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard drive and a DVD burner.

Probably, Asus also offers an integrated webcam, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, four USB ports, an SD/MMC/MS media card reader and a VGA output along with a 6-cell battery for 5-hour operation.

Weighing 5.3 lbs, the K40IN-A1 notebook is also believed to incorporate the proprietary Asus Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology that provides enhanced energy efficiency.

Expected price of the Asus K40IN-A1 notebook is $850 (approx. Rs. 40,415) and it can be purchased from Newegg.
