11.6-inch Acer Aspire One Netbook After a long wait, Acer has finally announced the official launch of the first 11.6-inch netbook.

Expanding Acer’s popular family, the all-new 11.6-inch Aspire One netbook not only focuses on a full connectivity option but also concentrates on the design and style. The thin computing device, which weighs a little more than a kilo, comes in four glossy colors such as white, dark blue, red and black. It is housed in the aerodynamic metal shape with a drop of color inside.

Powered by an Intel Atom processor and Mobile Intel US15W Express Chipset, the 11.6” Aspire One features a large 160 GB internal hard drive, a multi-in-one card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Acer Signal Up technology to access wireless networks. Moreover, the device supports Bluetooth and 3G connectivity for enhanced control on online experience.

Thickness reduced to one-inch (only 2.5 cm), the portable and slim 11.6-inch Aspire One possesses a soft-touch keyboard, multi-gesture touchpad, Dolby Pro Logic sound and high-definition WXGA back-lit LED screen. The netbook also packs in a digital microphone, Acer Crystal Eye webcam and 6 cell 5200 mAh battery that offers an 8 hours of operation.

However, Acer hasn’t disclosed the price and release date of the Aspire One 11.6-inch netbook.
