Chuwi W3000 Mobile Internet Device

A China-based company, Chuwi probably introduces a latest mobile internet device (MID), dubbed the W3000, offering a complete multimedia and entertainment experience while on the run.

The USP of this product is said to be the incorporation of the South Korean Telechips’ ARM processor – the Telechips 7901 dual-core chipset. Further, it also highlights a built-in DSP. Users would appreciate a better audio and video playback, thanks to the various features of the device.

Moreover, the MID possibly inherits Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and USB Host functionality. In words of Engadget, there is a Windows CE 5.0 underneath the Chuwi’s GUI, ensuring easy web browsing and access to a host of applications such as instant messaging services, media and navigation, amongst others. So, do we expect an onboard touchscreen keyboard to be embedded for consumers to conveniently access web and even exchange IMs?

Apparently, the Chuwi W3000 has a 3.0 megapixel camera and a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen display as well as an extensive codec support. The device may also let users play media files such as MP3, WMA, OGG, AVI and RMVB. No word on the memory slot though.

The price and the release date of the Chuwi W3000 Mobile Internet Device are still unknown.
